Petit Planet Release Date: Winter 2026 & Platforms

Petit Planet has a release window but not a release day. That is the short answer. The long answer is more useful: the window is Winter 2026, the platforms are PC, iOS and Android, pre-registration is live and the next official news beat is a pre-launch special program on November 1.

The confirmed release window

HoYoverse announced a worldwide Winter 2026 release during gamescom on August 25, 2026. The game is developed by miHoYo and published globally by HoYoverse. It is free-to-play and cross-platform.

“Winter 2026” is a window, not a date. In the Northern Hemisphere, winter begins in late December, but publishers often use “winter” to mean a late-Q4-to-early-Q1 window. Do not book time off for a specific day until HoYoverse says so.

The November 1 pre-launch program

The next official information beat is the Petit Planet Pre-Launch Special Program on November 1, 2026 at 19:00 UTC+8 (11:00 UTC). It will air on the official Petit Planet YouTube channel and is expected to include the development team, a special guest and launch details.

A release-date reveal is likely, but not confirmed. The program is also a good place to learn about launch rewards, version content and any pre-load timing.

Platforms

The confirmed platforms are:

• Windows PC
• iOS
• Android

HoYoverse says additional platforms are in development. That phrase has generated a lot of Switch and PS5 speculation, but there is no announcement. If a retailer lists a console version, treat it as a placeholder until HoYoverse confirms it.

The PC version is not sold on Steam. Use the official HoYoverse launcher when it becomes available.

Pre-registration and launch rewards

Pre-registration is open on the official site. The guaranteed reward is the Bestie Star-Light, and milestone rewards include the Blissful Floral & Fruit Tea, Red Star Firework, Sweet Special, Bazaar Jelly and the Sproutling Outfit Set. Rewards are claimed by logging in at launch.

The full reward list and account steps are in the pre-registration guide.

Beta timeline

Petit Planet had three closed tests:

The Final Beta is the source of most numbers on this wiki. Launch values may change.

What “Winter 2026” means for your plans

• Do not schedule a launch party for a specific date yet.
• Pre-register now so the reward is tied to your account.
• Check your PC or phone against the system requirements.
• Follow the official YouTube channel for the November 1 program.
• Avoid key resellers and “early access” offers; the game is free to play.

What to watch next

The pre-launch program is the next confirmed event. After that, the likely sequence is a release-date trailer, pre-load information, a launch maintenance window and the first in-game event. We will update this page when HoYoverse shares a date.

For now, the safe answer remains: Winter 2026, exact date TBA.
