Petit Planet begins in Hexia or Taffeh and opens outward from there. Each galaxy has its own terrain, climate, neighbor roster and Starsea islets — here is how they compare.

Which galaxy should you start in?
The choice shapes your first planet's look, your early neighbor pool and the islets you see first. You are not locked out of the other starting galaxy forever.

Start in Hexia
Choose Hexia if you want green plains, bamboo islets, rice paddies and neighbors like Yunguo, Isaki, Heyu and Dorjelang. It is the more traditionally “cozy farm” of the two starting options.
Start in Taffeh
Choose Taffeh if golden prairies, sandstone cliffs and dragon-blood trees appeal more. Harpeno, Msafiri and Tika call it home, and the islets lean toward travel and harvest themes.

How galaxy travel works
You are not choosing a permanent faction. Galaxies are regions of the Starsea, and voyages can take you beyond your home zone.
Starsea zones
Each galaxy has its own Starsea zone and islet pool. Seasonal zones stay available after their event ends, but limited-time neighbor encounters do not.
Visiting friends
You can reach the other starting galaxy by visiting a Starmigo who has settled there, then talking to Elsasani to unlock the local zone.
Neighbor pools
The galaxy associated with a neighbor affects where you will encounter them. The neighbor list groups everyone by home galaxy.

How many galaxies are in Petit Planet?
Four galaxies are currently known: Hexia, Taffeh, Norvan and Pashah. Hexia and Taffeh are the two starting galaxies; Norvan and Pashah are associated with later neighbors and still-emerging content.
Which galaxy should you choose in Petit Planet?
Hexia is the verdant, farming-friendly starting galaxy; Taffeh is the golden, prairie-themed option. Both are valid starts and you can visit the other galaxy later through a friend's planet or by transferring zones on a Starsea Voyage.
Can you unlock the other galaxy?
Yes. If you start in Hexia, you can access Taffeh's Starsea zone by visiting a Starmigo who has settled there, or by transferring zones during a voyage. The same works in reverse.
What are Norvan and Pashah?
Norvan and Pashah are the two non-starting galaxies. Norvan has a cool, starlit mood and is home to Frostia, Medowlyn and Rebella. Pashah is a seaside, music-themed galaxy associated with Nerina.
